Bat Exclusion Process
A proper bat exclusion begins with a thorough inspection of the structure to locate all active bat entry points and any other possible entry points. Our inspector, Randy Lee, has a construction background and has almost 35 years’ experience inspecting Residential & Commercial structures for insect and wildlife activity. Experience is key in finding all areas where bats could gain access to a structure. Randy Lee Inspections offers evaluations throughout the state of Texas, with almost all being completed free of charge. (Contact Us at (979) 690-6775 or email us at appointments@randyleeinspections.com to schedule an inspection & evaluation). A professional evaluation and bid will be provided after the inspection is completed.
- Thorough Inspection & Evaluation
- Locate Bat Entry Points
- Install Safe Exits That Prevent Re-Entry
- Seal All Other Possible Entry Points
- Remove Exit Materials & Seal Exits
The next step is to install exits at the main access points, so that the bats can safely leave the roosting area at night for watering & feeding, but they will not be able to re-enter when they return. This forces the bats to search for a new roosting area. At the same time, any other possible entry points that were identified during the inspection will need to be sealed. After a 4-7 day period, giving all the bats ample opportunity to exit, we return to remove the exits & seal up the previously active access points.
